Working Ranch April/May 2016

Sandra’s old Longhorn cow, Rose, appreciates fi ne art, especially when she’s the beautiful subject! orn a native Texan in 1952, Sandra Stevens has always been connected to ranch life and livestock, having been raised on a Texas cattle ranch. Since childhood, she has always had a strong artistic inclination, drawing and painting cattle and horses. After fi nishing Blinn College in Brenham, Texas, Sandra’s artistic ventures were in the arena of fi ne-art photography. However, in recent years Sandra returned to painting on canvas, and now works full-time painting for both the galleries that represent her and private commissions. Sandra splits her time between her studio in Sugar Land, Texas and her Longhorn ranch in Columbus, Texas (where she also paints, once the cattle are fed and the chores are done!). 102 I WORKING RANCH I APRIL / MAY 2016
