Working Ranch April/May 2016

toppin’ outBY TIM O’BYRNE My favorite part of this magazine is the Rural Carrier letters. Most of them are great, but sometimes (like this issue, for instance) I get my halter shank popped for something I overlooked. That’s OK, I can handle it, as long as you keep sending those letters and photos. We love to share them with our readers, and we really appreciate the time that goes into the photography you submit, the stories you clip out and send us, and the artistic fl air in which you send them off through the mail. Here’s two examples of creative postage; one is obviously an envelope, the other a piece of heavy cardboard with old stamps and interesting photos, and the letter itself started on this side and completed on the opposite side. Gems like these are so nice to fi nd in the WR mailbox. A couple of really cool pieces of mail we received lately. 14 I WORKING RANCH I APRIL / MAY 2016
