Two year-old Newt Cohuette Owens, son of Cade and Jacqueline Owens,
Minneapolis, KS on his little AQHA Red Dun gelding, DUN PLAYIN AROUND,
aka Diego, that he shows in Lead line and checks cattle on. That’s his service
dog in training, Dixie, as Newt has
Epilepsy. Newt is all about horses
and cattle; he rides and has
chores of cleaning stalls, sweeping
the barn, feeding and watering
and haying horses, tending
to his bottle calves and checking
fence. He is going to be one heck
of a rancher one day.
This is our grandson, Riggen, who
is one year old. There is no better
friendship than a boy and his dog and
this little boy loves his dog “Tess” and
being outside by the cows. Thank you
so much. We love your magazine!

Commonsense in WR
Jan/Feb 2019 WR is probably the
best issue yet! So much good information
and commonsense knowledge
from people in the cattle business for
real. Also, exceptional photos; I can
relate to the Murphy kids and their
gate closing system and I also hope to
see more of Emily McCartney’s work.
Really appreciate your publication.
